Westhill hands Branford first loss it OT

STAMFORD -- Taking penalties is rarely viewed as a positive for hockey teams but there are times, it turns out, when having a player in the penalty box is the perfect strategy.

Westhill's Scott Reville took a penalty with 1:11 to go in regulation of a tie game. His penalty ended at exactly the right time for the Vikings as Reville exited the box just as Dan Rotkewicz was sending the puck his way from center ice.

Picking up the puck with one hand on his stick and one still on the penalty box door, Reville controlled the puck, skating in on a clean breakaway and scoring, giving Westhill a thrilling 4-3 overtime victory over the previously unbeaten Hornets.
